In 1976, Dr. Jorge S. Camacho, M.D. founded the private practice, South Florida Eye Institute, located in Broward County.  Today this private practice has grown to having seven exam rooms, a surgery room, and a diagnostic testing room.  Our diagnostic room contains State-of-the-Art testing machines for Cataract, Glaucoma, Retina, Cornea, Neuro-opthalmology and Visual Acuity testings.

We now have the "Best of the Best" doctors in our team that specializes in Cataracts, Glaucoma, Retina, Nuero-opthalmology, Dry Eye Syndrome and Visual Acuity Complexities.  These doctors have all received awards such as the James H. Allen Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology and have been a part of numerous opthalmological publications.

To become more effective with patient care at South Florida Eye Institute, we have implemented the use of MDIntellesys EMR system that works with E-Prescribe program Dr. First.  Now we can prescribe / renew medications for patients with a click.

A great addition to our private practice is our optical called Clear View Optical.  At Clear View Optical we sell reading glasses, computer glasses, driving glasses and sunglasses from Manufacturers and Designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Prada, Silhouette, Guess, Addidas, Oakley, Ralph Lauren, Polo and many more...
